Tapionniemi – A Village in Kemijärvi Between Two Rivers

Tapionniemi is a peaceful village with good roads and easy access to the beautiful Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The Javarusjoki River flows into the big Kemijoki River and has many rapids and bends. It’s a great place for fishing and enjoying nature.

The old village school, built in 1932, is now called Kyläkartano (Village Manor). It is an important building because of its history and beauty. The village association owns it, and it is used by local people for many kinds of events and activities.
